Welcome

Welcome to the Limb Loss Information Centre. This online resource has been created to guide individuals with congenital or acquired limb loss and their friends, family and carers through the emotional, physical and psychological process of coming to terms with limb loss.

We have taken a holistic approach to limb loss and hope that through this we can provide relevant and useful information on all aspects of life after limb loss. We have tried to make the site as easy to navigate as possible and hope that you can find the information you need here.

Please have a look at the frequently asked questions section of the site where we have collated questions asked by other amputees, their families and carers.

There is a lot of information on this Website contained in nested pages. If you can’t find what you are looking for by clicking on a Parent Page in the left hand menu, please remember to try the Search facility at the top right of the page.

If you still can’t get the information you require please contact us and we will either research the query ourselves or put you in touch with the person best suited to answer your questions.

We run some relevant News items which appear on this Home Page. You will find additional News Items and stories on The Douglas Bader Foundation Website

With grateful thanks to Leggz, who some of you may know from the Forum, we are delighted to be able to offer a NEW SERVICE:
